Help note 4 root problem

So i am in the process of rooting my note 4, using this guide Mike Lee's guide, and i am currently stuck. I get to the part where you have to use the command prompt and type in "adb shell" and then "su". Once i type in "su" the command prompt acts like its loading but it doesnt really do anything. i have let it sit there for about 10 minutes and nothing happens..what should i do?

Verizon's bootloader requires a special technique.

not having read that guide yet, I suggest if it is not for a Verizon phone, it won't work.

Pretty wild. Didn't know the bootloader could be unlocked.
When you typed in adb devices, did you see your phone listed?

Try typing su again and observe phone screen to see if you get a SuperSU prompt to allow the command.
