Need help my note 5 fell to the washing machine with soap inside
Can you tell me how to fix it

However, I'm not sure how soapy water will affect it compared to plain water.

The usual advice is to remove the battery and disconnect power immediately, but unfortunately you can't do that with a Note 5, it's sealed. Was it insured?

If your phone doesn't have a removable battery (iPhone, LG) you have a fast decision to make. "Do I spend a few dollars to repair the damage I'm about to do by following this advice, or do I throw the phone into the garbage?"

I've had a device go through a full wash cycle! Surprisingly it survived and worked fine after drying it out. I gave it to an elderly relative with the warning that it could fail at any time. Four years later, he still has it and it works fine. I have my fingers crossed for you.

After reading a ton of these kinds of posts, I think that THE most important thing to do is NOT turn it on at all until it's TOTALLY dry!!! Try putting it into a container with rice for a few days and resist the temptation to turn it on before then!!!

^^^ Plus 1000. Dry, uncooked rice, about half a ziplock bag's worth. Put the phone in there for at LEAST 48 hours to let the rice draw out the moisture. I have revived more than one phone doing this

Unused cat litter is also a good desiccant. Silica-gel is as well of course.
