Note 5 T Mobile to Verizon

767pilot

Newbie
I have a Galaxy S5 from Verizon that I am experimenting with on T Mobile. It's becoming obvious that life would be better with a T Mobile phone. I hate to drop that much coin until I decide if I am really going to stay with them or not. If I were to buy a T Mobile supplied Note 5, does anyone know if I would have a problem taking it back to VZ if I decided to return?

Also, does the note 5 get the new frequencies that everyone at T Mobile seems so excited about?

Thanks for the concise answer. Sounds like I'd better figure things out quickly!
Please keep us posted/updated on your situation/how well (or not) the T-Mobile Note5 is working for you on VZW. :thumbsupdroid:

I have tried the Verizon S5 out on T Mobile for a few weeks and decided to take the plunge on the T Mobile S6. After 25 years it's bye bye big red. I waited and waited for an improved international plan and the one that they just announced is really lacking for someone that travels as much as I do.

Welcome to T-Mobile. :thumbsupdroid:

If you're into rooting/ROMS,your life just got a whole lot more simpler.
That & a lot more flexibility on the phone choices.

Doesn't rooting void the TMO warranty? Not sure I need to go there yet
Yeah,technically it does.
FWIW,I've turned in several phones on the Jump program that were rooted at one time (restored to stock before returning) & have never been called out on it.
I can't say the same would ring true for warranty service,so,your concerns are definitely with merit.

It's funny...my VZW Note 3 was rooted and I wasn't thinking when I brought it to vzw to have glass protector applied. The rep installed it then started up my phone without my permission. It was very obvious I was running a custom rom and she looked right at it when it booted up but never said a word. I had to get a new Note 3 later when I broke the volume button but no complaints from Asurion when I turned in the old one. Unfortunately there is no way to root the Note 3 in VZW now so I have to go stock.
