Note 5 & Wireless Charger Not Working

My Samsung wireless charger will only charge my Note 5 for about 5 minutes before blinking and stopping altogether. I have a very thin case on my Note 5 (Tech 21 black case).

Anyone else having this issue?

A lot of people are having that issue. I had the issue until I found the problem. Make sure the phone is dead center on the charger and it will charge just fine. If not, then you may also have a defective one

Dead center or not, the free one that came from bestbuy has issues.
I read over the weekend that turning on daydream helps. I tried that and every time I put it on the charger, it charged to completion.

I just got my Note 5 today but purchased the following for $50 from the AT&T Store and it seems to be working just fine. SAMSUNG Wireless Charger QI Charging Pad EP-PG920 F

Tried this, did not work for me. Stops charging about a minute after I put it on, regardless of the phone's position.
Maybe I can bring my charger back to BB and get another one.

I have 2 of these and both have this issue with My note 5 and my wife's S6. Funny they charge my Moto 360 just fine.

I have found that if you use a case, they seem to work better (not all the time) but I have not tried the daydream suggestion, I will be trying that tonight.

Has anyone found that Daydream causes the screen to heat up? I do not want to kill the screen just to use this charger.

Yes, with daydream on the phone definitely heats up.

I have Daydream off. I have no case on the note 5 right now as I sent my Ringke Crystal Fusion back. My Note 5 will NOT charge on the Samsung wireless charger....Returning it tomorrow

So I managed to find a Live Wallpaper that I could set it to be very dim that works with Daydream and I tried this solution.
First it does work - no more charging issues and with the Live Wallpaper I am using the screen does not heat up.

I also found that if you plug in your phone (for overnight charging) and turn the screen off before daydream starts up, Daydream does not turn the screen back on.

Some of you may have known this, but I did not and I was very happy to find this out.

This works for me. I actually like having daydream on when on the wireless charger. My biggest issue I have had so far with the Note, is that when a notification came in, it would flash the LED and not show as charging, this bothered me that I couldn't tell that the phone was charging especially with the Wireless Charging issues I had been having.

Now as long as Daydream is on, I know it is still charging and I can shut the screen off when I plug it in at night.
