Thanks for pointing out that feature! I consider myself tech savvy and never knew this feature existed. I've had this Note3 for how long? Embarrassing!!! :oops: At least it proves that I'm savvy, but not to the extreme of Geekness.

I went into Settings>S-Pen and there was a checkbox for a notification if you leave your S-Pen. I tried it out and it signaled when I got about 20 feet away. Problem I could see is it doesn't quite go the distance of what I was thinking. It doesn't emit a sound/light from the S-Pen, so if I put it down in a dark cluttered area, keep moving around nearby, then about 20 minutes later need to find this dark colored slim device, it may take long time to find it or never if it rolls into some crevice out of sight. At least now it'll let me know before I leave too far from the location without my S-Pen. Thanks again for the valuable tip.

Oh well, since we all know that Samsung Engineers monitor this forum and incorporate every one of our ideas into their NOTE, I guess they'll have a precision locator on the new version.

Oh, and by the way, who was the idiot on this forum that wished you could have a feature that made the NOTE explode? ;)

There are (were) rumors that Samsung was looking to add a speaker function to the Note 8 S-Pen. That way if you lost it, it would make some sort of sound until you found it. Weird... but I guess some people would find it useful :)

WOW, that proves that Samsung's Engineers are on this forum listening to us all the time! ...and to think I just mentioned something to this effect a few hours ago. Now that's fast!!!

Ok, I know this is off topic from OP but, I had to share this because I actually still have this phone in my possession. Comparing the technology to the times (circa 2003?), this might be be my favorite phone ever! It was a flip-phone, but....different. Does anyone remember this?

I had one like in the photo, maybe the model before that one. It wasn't flippable. My first cell phone.
