Thanks for pointing out that feature! I consider myself tech savvy and never knew this feature existed. I've had this Note3 for how long? Embarrassing!!! At least it proves that I'm savvy, but not to the extreme of Geekness.
I went into Settings>S-Pen and there was a checkbox for a notification if you leave your S-Pen. I tried it out and it signaled when I got about 20 feet away. Problem I could see is it doesn't quite go the distance of what I was thinking. It doesn't emit a sound/light from the S-Pen, so if I put it down in a dark cluttered area, keep moving around nearby, then about 20 minutes later need to find this dark colored slim device, it may take long time to find it or never if it rolls into some crevice out of sight. At least now it'll let me know before I leave too far from the location without my S-Pen. Thanks again for the valuable tip.
Oh well, since we all know that Samsung Engineers monitor this forum and incorporate every one of our ideas into their NOTE, I guess they'll have a precision locator on the new version.
Oh, and by the way, who was the idiot on this forum that wished you could have a feature that made the NOTE explode?
