Note 9 to Ultra

My S21 Ultra is due tomorrow.
I currently have a Note 9.
My plan is to put the sim from the note 9 into the ultra.
Setup the Ultra, then use a Type C cable, to connect the Note 9 and the Ultra.
I then plan to use SmartSwitch to transfer all the "stuff" to the Ultra.
Can anyone tell me if my plan is OK or otherwise.

When setting up a new phone, I prefer to start afresh so that there are no conflicts between my previous phone's set up and the new one. I simply just copy and paste my own files across.

i have used smart switch going from a note 8 to the note 10+......never had any issues. you plan sounds solid to me.

Suggest you have it in the new phone, because from experience some apps may need to register the change of device, like via SMS.

I'll use smart switch again most likely. It did not let me down going from the S8+ to the Note 10+.

Well the switch to the S21 Ultra went perfectly.
I left the sim in the note 9 until the smart switch was complete then inserted the sim in the S21 Ultra
It is an impressive phone.
