Help note pro overheating

Is it really overheating or just warm to your touch? Devices would obviously get hot when playing games. Overheating is when the device warns you of too high temp and shuts the app down.

Is this a recent issue?

All of these devices have internal temperature sensors, the software monitors the temps and will do one of two things, it will reduce the speed of the CPU, or at the discretion of the phone manufacturer, just kill the offending app.

It seems the latter is the choice made on your phone.

How old is the device? If it's older than a year, and if you've been gaming quite hard on it, the battery may be having problems already and heating up. You'll need to have it replaced in a shop.

This is a Samsung tablet and its not connected to any this is a Samsung tablet and its not connected to any phone so I'm not sure if that makes a difference. Do you have any suggestions about how to fix the issue

I already told you, if the device is older than a year and you've been using it extensively, it's battery may be on the way out and is heating up on use. You nedd to have it checked in a shop.
