Note2 for all careers?

Hello

I don't want to tie myself to one career, it looks like 2 wireless careers use GSM in US (ATT and TMobile) and the rest use CDMA. Is there any version of the Note2 which works with all careers? one that supports both CDMA and GSM?

No there isn't.

No there isn't.

I am not sure if that is totally accurate. According to Verizon's website, the Galaxy Note 2 is "Global Ready" which would indicate to me that it may have a GSM Radio in it? Not an unlocked device so you can't just take it to ANY CARRIER and expect them to a activate it for you. That won't happen.

I thought that this was going to be a thread about which jobs are best to use a Note 2 with.

What a disappointment to find out it was about CARRIERS.

Me too! Although, I suspect it will work well with my dual careers of trash picker and FBI investigator*. The 8MP camera should be great for snapping pictures of peoples' dirty laundry. The plentiful connection options will make getting those photos back to the office a breeze.

:p

LMAO ok I'm not the only one! I was sitting here trying to figure out how this device can advance my career! :D

When drex gets here he can answer this. Clever wording by Verizon. You can always go to Samsung's site and check out the V'Note specs.

Based on what you're saying, Samsung wouldn't have needed to make carrier specific phones and if that were the case, that would be HUGE news we'd all already know about.

ScandaLeX already alluded to the answer. Verizon is using a very tricky marketing technique here. "Global Ready" for the Verizon Note 2 means, "Get ready to pay us a TON of money for using Global Roaming on Verizon."

If its the same as the Droid Global, it won't work on networks inside the US... unless things have changed since release. Verizon based "global" phones came with Vodafone SIMs.
