So Im forgetful and notepad apps come in handy for me. I was curious which one you all were using and which ones had widgets for the home screen. Evernote just isint cutting it and Astrid is, well....pretty in-depth.

I downloaded Notes from the marketplace last night. It's simple and easy, but great. No widget though.

I'd like to find a note app with a 4x1 widget that I can put on my home screen for very quickly taking notes.

If you just want a note widget, you can try Simple Note. You can customize the size of the widget (1x1 to 2x4). One reason I like about it, it's very simple, the widget just put your text on the home screen, so it looks really clean. You can change the colour of the text. What I don't like about it...it doesn't sync to anything :(

You might like the colornote notepad <--has a widget that looks like a 3M stickie

Astrid is a task app, good for when you have a task you need done.

I use TxtPad Lite, but it doesn't have any syncing capabilities, nor does it have a widget. It's about as straight forward as a note pad application can be though.

I use Notes because I can encrypt the notes.

I have all the useful info I need, without the fear of someone else being able to read it if they get a hold of my phone.

There are so many it can be hard to choose. I like 3banana very much but at the moment my fav is SpringPad.
