Notes App

Hi all,
Ive been using iPhones for years and a feature i used a lot was the notes app. It would automatically create a link for web addresses and phone numbers, when clicked wold open the browser or dial the number and also street addresses would open google maps if i clicked it. Now I have got a galaxy s3 but I miss this feature. Ive looked everywhere for a note app, but have only found some that will do web addresses and also phone numbers, but I would really like the address to google maps. Does anyone know of an app or a way to do this without copy and pasting.

Here is one thing you can do: create your link starting in google maps.

Create this address as a favorite in google maps. Then press menu / share. It will generate a short message which starts with the address and at the end includes a link (the address is not part of the link..it's just a string of unmeaningful letters to humans). Clicking on the link from another application sends you right back to google maps with that address pulled up.

Most convenient I think is evernote. Just share from maps to evernote, then from evernote you can get right back. But you can of course "share" it from maps to email or text mail and then cut/paste it into any notes application you like.

Also, you might want to google "how to create a google maps link".
Once you know how to create the proper type of link (there are apparently other ways besides using google maps) you can launch it from any notes application. For example take a look at this link, you can probably see how you would adjust it for your own address:

You can use Evernote. Android did not put this likely because Apple has a US patent on clickable links thingy.

Colornote creates links for phone numbers and URL address. Doesn't for address though.

Thanks Guys. Evernote dosnt do it but ill look into the options youve given. Maybe a way of storing the google link in clipboard to convert the address could be a goog option.
