Notes/memo app?

I was wondering if someone might be able to shoot me in a good direction. I am somewhat new to android(fr BB). I am searching for a good notes or memo app that will sync with outlook without going through the costly expense of companion link, and while not using gdocs. I've been using gdocs and it's not really working for me. Any less costly suggestions?! I haven't had the luxury of spending a lot of time reading all of the threads on here, so helpful information would be much appreciated! Thanks

Probably not exactly what you are looking for, but I use evernote.

It doesn't sync with Outlook, but ColorNote is a good tool for making a list, note, or memo. It's pretty easy to just jot down what you need or are thinking. You can even make a little post it note kind of thing on you homescreen.
