Notice-Limit to switching devices per month

So I had been switching back and fourth from my iphone 4s to my rezound, when I was on vacation I was using my 4s for better battery life, plus I didn't need 4g because I could use wifi.

Now that I am back at work I wanted to switch back to my rezound, but verizon told me since I had already switched phones 3 times this billing cycle that I will have to wait until my billing cycle resets in another 2 weeks.

Just a heads up to anyone who may switch devices often...

If you are switching between two devices, both with LTE sim cards I don't believe you will have this issue. It's going from a Sim to a non-sim device is the problem.

Yep thats what they told me, the CSR said even though there is no difference in my data package that the computer flags it as a "data package change" and there is a limit per month that their computers allow.

So if you go from a 4g phone to any other phone that DOES NOT use a sim card you have to be careful.

I am now stuck with an iphone that gets no signal in my office for the next 2 weeks.

I was switching back and forth from my iPhone to my Razr Maxx (and now I'm thinking of doing the same with my galaxy s3) but it got to be such a pain to always have to get a new sim card each time I wanted to activate the 4g phone. How were you dealing with this? Going into the store? Online? I was wondering if there was any way to get VZW to send me a stack of sims...

A month ago Verizon made it so you can reuse a sim card as many times as you want, and you can let a sim card sit for 90 days without use. Anytime after those 90 days you have to get a new sim if you haven't used it.

Also-

Spoke with another CSR today and she told me that it is an error in their system due to the many different promos they have going on with data packages (double data, data share) So the program in their computer doesn't take into account a phone with unlimited data and it causes an error because it thinks that you are going from either double data with a 4g phone to regular data with a 3g phone.

But she told me that the computer flagged my phone on the 5th swap. But what had happened was I had tried 3 times to switch to my rezound and it wouldn't let me online (but it counted that I did in their system) So I finally got the rezound to work on the 4th try, and I used my rezound for a week or so but then I needed to test something over 3g with the iphone and then verizon locked my account until the next billing cycle.

Sounds crazy I know, but thats what went down.

So for now, anyone with unlimited data switching from 4g to 3g phones make sure that on the 5th swap it is the phone you will use for the rest of your billing cycle because you will be stuck with it!

Yes the rezound is a 4g phone.

But like I said, I had tried 3 times to switch my rezound online (it didn't let me, but it counted on verizons side that I had).

And you are only allowed to switch from a 4g (sim card phone) to a 3g (non-sim card phone) 5 times per billing cycle
