Have you noticed faster 3g speed lately. My speed is usually 400 kbps, but i just got 880.
Is this just me or did virgin upgrade there network or something
(test was from Massachusetts)
Ever since VM announced this major data network fix about a week ago, I've been getting about 1 Mbps down and 250 kbps up pretty consistently, all in NE Penna.
I think VM was working on their network in Louisiana yesterday. I had been getting 1.2-1.6 mbps pretty consistent. Yesterday it dropped to 200-330 all day long. Now today I'm getting speeds from 1.6 mbps all the way up to 2.4 mbps. So far it has stayed the same and have had no problem with loss of 3g either.
Mine's all over the place also. Usually DL speeds of 250-700 (typically towards the lower end during the day), but sometimes (seldom) up to 1600 or so. I'm east of Seattle, Wa.
I was up around Lake City (just out of Seattle) today, and with full signal strength, I was consistently getting DL speeds of 1500 - 2100, best I've ever had during a weekday going thru the Wichita server (pings around 450). It was also faster than the wi-fi signal I got at the Starbucks there (1200 - 1300), using both my phone and my laptop. UL speed was noticeably faster also. Hope this continues......
Im guessing it depends on network saturation in your area. Im in Orange County Ca in the Anaheim and Buena Park area and I would imaging there are quite a few people around here on Virgin since the Optimus was completely sold out at BB the Shack and Target a few weeks ago when my wife picked hers up.
