Notification alerts by app

[erwin2toes]

Hi everyone,

Long time iPhone user who switched to the Galaxy S3, and I don't regret a single thing.

I have a question about notification sounds. I have different sounds for different apps (gmail, plume, etc.) But some apps do not have a notification sound setting. Does that mean that the app doesn't support it? Or is there a way in the Android OS to assign a sound for the app?

That function must be included in the app. It cannot be set from Android settings.

thanks for the response. Confirmed my assumptions.

Depending on the app, notifications may be able to be controlled with an app like LightFlow.
