Notification annoyance

I have a new Galaxy S10. I saw a tornado alert on the phone and we were expecting bad weather so I clicked on the info thinking it had to do with the weather app on my main screen. Well, it wasn't. I searched around the web for instruction to stop "yourweatherwatcher.com", but was not successful. I think I went thru every category on my phone trying to find out how to stop this, but was not successful. Can someone help? Yes, I know, dumb thing to do. Thanks very much

what browser are you using? check the browser settings and look for notifications and see if you can find yourweatherwatcher.com listred there.

Ditch your weather app.
It is probably an ad infected piece of crap, as most weather apps are.

Even pre-installed ones are notorious for this.

And they constantly broadcast your location, so they are a security nightmare.

There is a website that you can go to right from your browser called

emergencyemail.org.

Bookmark it into your browser for quick reference.

After you enter your city, state, county, etc. then you can bookmark that as well.
You can even bookmark the weather for multiple locations for quick reference.

It works great, there is a local radar, 7 day forcast, immediate weather, local and national news, recall alerts, etc. all on one site.
If you use a browser with an ad-blocker (recommended for any web use anyway) it is even better.

I use Opera as my browser. I have been using the Samsung weather app. I was able to find the offending POS in Notifications, buried a couple of layers deep and stopped it. It looks like Google put it there. I do have AVG and Malwarebytes on my phone, but when I scanned, neither seemed to react. I didn't try to uninstall it yet because it doesn't appear in my apps. I was just glad to be able to find it in the first place. I didn't think of an adblocker like I have on my PC and I am certainly going to install one. To be fair, what I meant was to use a browser with a built in ad-blocker.

They are just more reliable in my experience, because the blocker runs whenever the browser does.

When you use an ad-blocking app, it is global, meaning that its actions are device wide.
This can have some unintended effects.
Not to mention that it has to be kept running at all times, and this can become an issue in itself.

Also, Android has no real use for any anti-malware or anti-virus type apps.

Those things are snakeoil, and use up battery and memory.
