notification bar really dim....help

Just got my RAZR Maxx yesterday and still trying to figure it out, but one thing i notice that bugs me is that the left side of the notification bar really dim. I use weather bug and i can hardly make out the temperature in the left hand corner, has anyone else noticed this?
 
Not sure how much this helps, found it on another forum.

I'm not sure what can be done about the small font on the notification bar but if you go into system settings, display and change the font size to large. This helps you actually see and read the settings a lot better.

This is a problem cause with the ICS update.
I also use Weatherbug, if you go into the Preferences you can change the status bar color. I changed it to white which shows up a little better.

This does not change the status bar font size.
