Afternoon Everyone,

Got my DROID 2 about 3 months ago and love it. Im a bit of a techie so i just HAD to ROOT it. After two three days of research and trial/error i was able to ROOT. Perfect!!! I added my apps, tweaked the phone, backed it all up, everything.

I then spent the next week trying everything i could to get a LEAP WAP to connect w/ no luck. I major goofed when i took the phone WIFI file to a PC and notepad incorrectly added "paragraph" formating to the file, so when i restored it it basically couldnt read a dam thing and SHUT OFF ALL Communication. No service on the phone. I paniced but thankfully had DROID 2 BOOTSTRAPPER make a backup before i did this. So i restored and all was well "i thought"

Now i find that my phone hates to UPDATE / NOTIFICATION.

Apps wont tell me there is an update
System Update wont tell me there is an update
Facebook wont show notifications
Email (Xfinity APp) wont show new emails.

To get the above to work/ kinda i have to power cycle the phone.

I have attemped to restore the phone w/ bootstrapper and it works for a few hours then stops. This is driving me totally crazy.

Now i just left the phone "NOT ROOTED" after system update 2.3.20.A955.Verizon.en.US

still same issue.

Is my phone smoked? Did i do something wrong?

P.S. In the event nothing worx is there a way i can restore this to 100% out of the box factory default?

Any input would be great. Thanks again for your continued support.

Sounds like a SBF would be your best bet. Flash the 2.3.20 build so your completely stock and see if the problem persist.

Its not to difficult and being a tech guy you shouldn't have many problems. If you need any help ask me or post a thread
