Notification LED

once the phone goes into sleep mode about 5-6mins. then at some point mine seems to come back on after some time of not waking my phone and blinks again for 5-6mins

It's a shame that it doesn't just keep blinking. What's the point of it if it just blinks for 5 or 6 minutes? It seems like it should blink until you dismiss the notification, or at least until you unlock your phone. Another good option would be to be able to customize it.

Coming from a BB, it was a little disappointing how dim and hidden the notification LED is on the Inspire. It's as if they were embarrassed to have one and hid it behind the speaker grill... On the BB, it's bright red and placed where you can see it across the room, even if the phone is laying flat on a table. As Dr. Horrible said, "So close..."

try the app blink or ledmeknow, these apps let you change the frequency of the blinking. you cant use the color change feature but at least you can fuss with the frequency/length

i think htc set it at like 5 mins as a battery save feature but not sure how much battery that lil led uses

Ditto! I was extremely disappointed. It's almost unusable imo. It's too faint to see clearly from across the room, or even a few feet away. The led on my blackberries was superb. I also saw a friend with the xperia x10 and the led light on that device is great too.
