Help Notification Light

flacharms

Lurker
Just got the phone, it's awsome. I was wondering why my notification light located under the earphone mic was flashing blue. Usually it flashes green if I have a message. But last night it changed color

Mine was flashing yellow for some reason. I changed it all using Light Manager though. The default color scheme was a little weird in my opinion.

Doesn't Jelly Bean dump support for notification lights? I wonder what good it will be after the update?

I haven't seen any notication light flash on my phone yet!!!!! is there setting I can't find to turn it on? I looked and looked but can't find anything. Right now i have missed calles, voicemails, e-mails and texts and not one flash of a light. and i do know where it is (under the speaker). there must be a way to tuen it on?

It is right under the Motorola on the front top of the screen. Shouldn't be anything you have to turn on

thanks, i know where it is (thats how I know it's not working). I've been investigating since my post. I guess it's common. They say if you did "auto restore" with your google account when setting the Maxx up, the light won't work. I have to do a hard restet and restore the apps one by one ......... sucks

hopeing somone comes up with a fix instead of that (because it doesn't work 100% of the time I guess).

I set up my account automatically through my google account and didn't have that issue at all. That's weird. Did you try installing osmething like light flow or light manager just to see if it works?

Not yet. they say if your light isn't working it won't work with light floww either. Trying that soon. But yah, i saw a bunch of complaints like mine. I can't beleive it. I'm dying to see that light. I really don't even use the Notification light but i would like to have the option seeing what I paid for this thing.....haha

Just downloaded LightFlow - it's awesome!

Would you do me a favor? I am unable to produce orange (looks yellowish green) or pink (looks white). When I tried custom colors every color came out white. I can produce red, green, purple, yellow, and white as long as I pick colors from the normal light flow menu.

I am used to orange for corporate email and pink for wife email so I would like to get them back if possible.

THANKS!

Umm... I'm not sure what you're asking

I'm asking you to set a notifier in light flow to orange led, do the notifier test in light flow, and see if you can produce an led color of orange.

I tried what you asked and was not able to get the phone to flash orange...

Ah, sorry - wasn't tracking. Yes, I can also confirm that both Orange and Deep Orange don't display correctly. I seem to remember a pop-up when I first installed it that said something about certain colors not displaying properly on Motorola devices.
