Help notification light

hello,
I just traded my s3 for the RAZR HD, and i am happy as can be!!! i just cant decide whether the LED notification light is broken or if i am a idiot and don't know how to work it... I have recieved texts, emails, facebook, etc since i recieved it earlier today. I really love the LED and cant live without it, if it is broken, should verizon replace it, or how do i activate it

Generally speaking, each individual app should have settings for notifications. But if you are looking for greater customization, there are many "notification" apps out there, many free or at nominal cost, such as Light Flow https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rageconsulting.android.lightflow&hl=en

yea, i know how they work and everything, i even tried lightflow, but still nothing showing... ill call verizon and ask
