Notification problem when sending txts

I have a Sony Xperia T and send txt message via Handcent however when i send a txt message my phone notification ringtone goes off as if i'm receiving a txt message.

Can someone please talk me through in simple terms how to stop this as i only want to hear a notification ringtone when i receive a txt and not the other way around ?

mine does it to and its anoying as my old one done it aswell

Assuming your T phone is the same as my TL, I have never had that problem sending messages with the Messaging app that came with phone or with What's App or Skype.
Maybe there is a notification setting in the Handcent? Now you've got me wanting to download and try it just to see

I use handcent and just got xperia t yesterday it doesn't do that on mine its sorted the only thing I want to know is how to have a separate ringtone for my messages and a separate ring tone for my email can I have 2 diferent ringtones if yes how?????
