I have been trying to get a custom notification to work for text messages. The notification seems to work on other apps but not text messages. I found a few other things to try on this site such as making sure that the mp3 file is in the notification folder. Any help would be appreciated.

download tone picker, ringdroid, and chomp sms. tone picker lets you pick mp3's that are on your sd card (whereever there are located) and lets you use them as ringtones, ringdroid elts you create ringtones, and chomp is an SMS handler that allows you to put custom text message ringtones and allows you to customize the UI.
