Notification problems

[gjkiii]

Hello. All of the sudden I am getting notifications that say things like "you just won a free ipad 2" or "your being spied upon". When you click on it, it wants you to open a browser. Any idea how I can stop these notifications from coming in? Thank you for any help

I'd say it looks like you've downloaded an app that uses some kind of push advertising. For more on how to identify which app is sending these ads to your notification bar, see:

Remove the offending app to get rid of the notifications.

Thats exactly what's happening. Thanks for that other forum. They had some good ideas on how to fix it.
