Help Notification Screen Issues...

Hi everyone,

I have a SGS in Australia, Running Android 2.2, and sometimes I have the issue that the notification screen simply cannot be pulled down fully. Sometimes it can't be pulled down at all, sometimes it gets pulled down 10-30% of the screen height. It's only an intermittent problem, but when it happens, it prevents me from easily activating WiFi, putting my phone on silent (can long-press power button and do it that way, but that's tedious), etc., etc.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is it a symptom of the usual SGS Lag running 2.2 or older?

I believe this is one of many Froyo bugs. Usually happens when you have an application open that use push notifications that then crashes

ma friend had somethin like that , but he'd get a force close [or crashes as you said] .. the OP didn't say anythin about a crash

Nah, it didn't crash. The notification screen just wouldn't pull down.

Hopefully we get 2.3 soon =)

Yeah, I have the same problem running stock froyo 2.2
Most of the users with 2.2.1 have not reported this issue., maybe its fixed from 2.2.1 onwards...

till we get update, we are stuck with this

I used to have that issue on 2.2 but I've haven't seen it yet on 2.2.1 it looks like it is fixed. I think it has something to do with the lag on 2.2

Like the others I used to have it on 2.2 but didn't see it on 2.2.1 (or 2.3.3).

I had the same problem on 2.2.

Gave up waiting for Gingerbread or even 2.2.1 (Vodafone Ireland)

Just installed Darkys Rom v9.5 and it is solved. Phone runs much faster now too.
