Notification settings

I couldn't stand it and finally made the jump from the bolt to the maxx. I'm trying to figure a few things out.
How do you change the notification sounds for different email accounts and sms messages?
Is there a way to see an led notification when the phone is charging?
I've had 3 HTC phones and this is my first motorola. things are a little different.

Change SMS sounds by opening the text app and hit the menu button-Message Settings-Notification Settings

For email: open Gmail-menu button -more-settings -scroll down to notification settings -labels to notify-inbox, and make your choices.

Not all that intuitive, but that's how. And no LED for charging without an app.
