Hello! I'm posting about my Verizon SG3 which seems to have some kind of bug with the text messaging notification sound.
About a quarter of the time (usually when the device's screen is on), everything is normal. However, most of the time there is a sound bug that makes the sound *almost* inaudible. I'm using the "Facebook pop" sound, and it seems like the first few milliseconds of the sound plays (sounds like a very faint pop, which is very quickly truncated before it gains any volume). This sound can only be heard when right next to the device (in fact, I thought that no sound was playing at all for some time).
I've tried all of the usual stuff (device isn't in silent/vibrate mode, the text message app settings are on, the phone settings have the messaging app's notifications on, the volume is up, I've restarted several times). I would rather like to not do a factory reset if possible, but I am willing to do so as a last resort. Does anyone have any advice in this matter, before I take the semi-nuclear solution?
Thank you in advance for any help!
