notification tone issue

I had my notification tone set to a sound from a soundboard i had downloaded from android market, I have got sick of it and uninstalled the soundboard and set a different tone but now i get no notification tone at all even though it shows that i have a new notification tone set

Have you restarted the phone since then? Pulled the battery?
 
notification tone for what? sms? email? calls?

whatever IT is, go to setting>apps>manage apps> find the app> clear data

if you tried a reboot, batter pull, resetting new tone, nothing works, try that. depending on the app, you may lose what "other" stuff you had though....like call history, or old texts, etc.
 
i just had one notification ton set for all notifications sms, updates etc and it was a sound pulled off a soundboard from android market. I dont use any of the sms programs just whatever is on the phone standard all i did was download the soundboard long pressed on the sound then hit set as notification then when i didnt want it anymore I set a new notification and uninstalled the soundboard completley, now i get no tone at all
 
you set the new tone before uninstalling the app or after?

sorry, not familiar with how soundboards work (i know what they are) just never used one.
 
try setting it again. the app mighta had a hold of the setting therefore uninstalling it reset the notification setting
 
tried that already ugggh so frustrated about to factory reset my phone cuz i am not getting any type of notification for anything so i havent been getting my messages till i happen to see them on the phone

When you do a factory reset, it puts the phone back to the way it was "out-of-the-box", right? Does that mean you lose the update from 12/11?
