Help notification tones

I am trying to set up a different notification tone for email and sms. I currently have a tone setup in the settings/sound/notification ringtone as UFO. I then went into the setting of email and changed that tone to Duck Hunt and the into my sms app and changed to r2d2 but the only one that plays whether I get email or sms is the UFO tone. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

ive had problem like that in the past so i download an app called soundpicker works for me !

if you set your notification tone to anything outside of the factory tones, all notification tones default to the set notification tone. my solution to that was to place my own notification sound into the systems notification sounds, which solves the problem.
