notification volume

[Android Question]

I have the lg motion and was wondering if there was any way to have all the volumes be controlled at the same time by just using the volume keys on the side of the phone. It is a big hassle to always have to go to the volume settings just to turn down my notifications.... :/
Can one volume be set for ALL sounds on the phone?
