hi all am using Samsung tab 2 but when i connect usb cable the device is only charging but i cant access the files

Which Tab 2 do you have and which OS version of Android? Jellybean or ICS?
If it's the 7" there is a choice you must make once the USB cable is connected to your PC: Select "media device" (MTP). Wait a bit and you'll see your Tab contents as a drive on your PC (assuming you're running a Windows computer).
Please tell us more about your device (and which carrier/provider you are with) and what types of files you want to see and deal with and/or transfer. Also we'll be able to link you to the section here at Android Forums that has a community of the same device users to get you more info, etc.
