I use Kakao, and want to know how to change the notification sound for this app. I have the new HTC One.

In Android, notification sounds are all handled by each app itself not by the phone's OS (except the ringtone). You'll need to open Kakao and go to the tab "more". Under more, select "settings". Scroll down to "Alert Sound" and click on it. You can select a new notification sound.
