G'day guys....i think my carrier is stopping me from viewing my notifications in the notification panel when my screen is locked.

This is what my screen looks like locked

It looks like "Telstra" might be blocking me from viewing my notifications.

Can someone else in the world show me what their carriers do/phone looks like when locked with notifications??

When I turn notifications to on I thought he lock screen it brings them up right in the middle of the screen I only want them in the notification panel.

Can anyone see what theirs does??

when you slide down from the top it only brings up the quick settings...it doesnt bring up anything other than the quick settings. All i want to do is see that there are notifications in the top left such as sms email etc like all other previous versions of Android without having them appear in the actual lock screen. My concern is my carrier and their stupidity has blocked this function. They've loaded firmware that when i swipe the phone button for quick access it only allows emergency calls and they've also disabled the function for turning off the camera shutter. I dont want to see the carrier branding...i might be able to turn that off actually

can anyone confirm that their carrier info is in the top right?

This is happening on my S6 also, and did not happen on my S4. I have had Sprint all along. I agree with you - a frustrating change.

When I first got my phone, everytime I got a text a box would pop up in the middle of the screen. I hated this so I turned it off. But now I get no notifications on my lock screen either. This is silly, it's all or nothing. We should be able to see if we have a text by looking at our lock screen, without also having the text box pop up in the middle of my screen. I don't need it to tell me what the text says on the lock screen, just tell me I have a text, or a voicemail, or a message in messenger, etc.

I have TMobile and mine is doing the same. On lock screen, in top right it shows the word TMobile. Doesn't make much sense because I know who my carrier is, I don't need a constant reminder. Lol
