Help Notifications not clearing

I get notifications and once I view the email or text the notification on the home screen do not clear so it always shows i have new email or text or missed call. What the deal it used to clear but now i have to clear the ram to get the notifications to clear

You can swipe them off the notification screen.

Pull down the window then swipe it left or right.

Don't have an answer, but I think he is talking about the notification on the Home Screen icons.

notification on the home screen will not clear unless i clear the RAM memory
