I recently rooted my Kindle Fire HD and added Google Play to it and I really like it. Most apps are working great. I added Outlook.com email client because I use outlook.com for email. I also have an old Yahoo email so I downloaded the app for that as well. They work well. Games work really well so far.
I really wanted to set up my kindle for email and IM and wanted a different notification for different contacts. I was disappointed that the Kindle only allows one notification sound for all emails. I tried to get GoNotifications to run but it will not run on my Kindle. Not a big deal. Is there a Notification application that will run on a rooted Kindle and give me a different notification sound per contact.
I would like to do this for IM as well, but one thing at a time.
