Notifications on Lock Screen

[zMikeYoung]

Are notifications supposed to appear on the Nexus 7 lock screen? For example, if I get an email or Google voice message, is there a way for the alert to light up a sleeping Nexus 7 and/or appear on the lock screen?

Thanks - Mike

I'm checking out NoLED now. It looks like it should do the trick.
