How do i turn the app notifications back on? I have a samsung galaxy centura

In android, each app controls its own notifications. So if you want SMS notifications, you have to open the messaging app and go into the menu and enable them. Same with email apps, facebook, twitter, etc. To enable notifications on any other app you have to go into the settings for that app. The only notifications that are controlled at the system level is the phone ringer.
If you are getting the notifications in the tray at the top of the screen but no sounds, it is possible you turned the volume off on your notifications. That can be found in the main settings menu under sounds.
