Did you watch the video? skip to 1.45, looks like it's going to exclusive to the xperia play, as in not available for any other Android devices.

We will see, they wouldn't include that for no reason so it's likely it will be released on the xperia play first and eveybody else will have to wait.

So in that regard they are correct to say it will be available on all Android devices, their just leaving out some key details.

It's exclusive for the first month, after that it will be coming to all Android devices. This was confirmed by Gameloft in their original press release.

Nice, so now we have nvidia and Sony doing it, just keeps getting better.

Anyone else thinking the iPhone is starting to look pretty good? it's bad enough we have to wait for iPhone ports to come to Android, but now if your not on select devices you have to wait a little longer.

It's just a jealousy thing. If the game was released on June 12th and your device was the first to get it, you'd be happy. If it was released May 12th, but devices have had it for a month before, you'd be sad. I'm pretty content with how things are, this is just one more way for the developers to get money through exclusive deals.

It's how we get change. Android OEM's will have to fight for the gamers and not just be content if their phones can only play games like Angry Birds or Doodle Jump.

No, not really, if you own a tegra 2 device you can't play this, if you own a xperia play you can't play tegra 2 games, there is no device now getting all the games as they come out. In fact the only device that does get them all is the iPhone.

I want Android to succeed, I don't think stuff like this is going to help.

iPhone would get them all anyway. It's going to sting a bit but this is how Android will become the place to go for games.
What do you think the other OEM's feel? They don't like it when a cool game comes to the 'other guy' first and they aren't going to switch to the iPhone. They can't so their only option is to compete for the gamers.

Of course iPhone gets them all first anyway, I understand what your saying but this will make it even more difficult to choose an Android phone, do you go with the best phone in terms of hardware/capability or choose one from a company with deep pockets which pays off developers.

That's not really a choice I'm happy with as a consumer, maybe you are I don't know. It sure seems that way.

If games are that important to you then buy a dedicated gaming device. Phone games are mostly time wasting crap no matter how much you love the iPhone's selection.

You're missing the point. Mobile gaming is on the rise, especially with full ports of quality PC titles. If developers jump on the "exclusive band wagon" for specific devices within the Android community, the Android platform will fall behind and become obsolete, especially with Google's plan to crack down on the "openness" of the OS, eliminating the major difference between it and iOS.

No thanks, im not going to carry round my phone plus a handheld console. Why are you even here if that's what you think of mobile gaming? Go away and don't come back, ok?
