Nova launcher now let's you use "Ok google" with M8

Nova launcher just released an update that allows you to use hotword detection if your are using their launder. Update the app if you have it or install it and go into Nova settings and you will find the new option.


Already tested it and it works perfectly on my M8

thanks for the alert SA - how does it work? is it speech recog for certain words to perform actions?

Not for every device . but yes it does

It just let's you use the hot words "Okay Google" from your home screen. You can't use any other words as far as I know. (at least on my device)

Nova is in active beta right now for all those interested.

you just install Nova launcher, open nova settings go down to "ok, google" and set it up

You Also have to opt-in for the beta on Google plus. But this is prob novas biggest update ever. Love the new ui in app drawer. Also if you are using a stock based ROM or are stock you can set a shortcut to blinkfeed. so its a win win situation
