Nova launcher problem

I installed Nova Launcher on my phone yesterday and it works great,so I installed it on my tablet too,a Sumvision Cyclone Voyager.
Only problem is the dock is vertical up the side of the screen in landscape mode and there doesn't appear to be anyway of changing it.
I've tried all the display/screen settings I can find to no avail.

any suggestions ?

yes I've tried all combinations of the look and feel settings.

the main screen rotates correctly but the dock part is fixed on the right hand side of the screen with the icons stacked vertically so when in portrait mode they are at the bottom of the screen which is correct but when in portrait mode they don't move to the bottom of the screen

I only have experience with Apex launcher, but it's very similar to Nova. In Apex, there is a setting for "Use tablet UI mode." See if you have a similar setting, and if toggling it resolves your issue.

Cant find it in nova prime bud :(

I have a Note 10.1 and Note 2.

On the Note 2 the dock will be:
1) Portrait: horizontal row on the bottom of the screen
2) Landscape (either orientation): vertical row on the right of the screen

On the Note 10.1 the dock will always be a horizontal row on the bottom of the screen regardless of orientation.

I am using Nova Prime.

The only thing I can think of is the 7" tablet is being seen as a phone and not an actual tablet. It's most likely defaulting to the phone UI instead of a tablet.
