Nova & touchwiz running together in running services

Iam using nova on my s8 but today I saw that both nova & touchwiz(now called as samsung experience) running together and eating up ram how m not sure, I restarted my device also but no help, Samsung theme is applied by default may be thats why??
 
no option to disable @Danny

Maybe Touchwiz is part of an essential framework that some of the other Samsung apps and services require, that's why it's in RAM? And if it was disabled, possibly other things would break?
 
How much RAM is TouchWiz eating up? If it's not a huge chunk, I wouldn't worry about it. As mikedt suggests, there are likely elements of the TouchWiz framwork that cannot be turned off to maintain the Samsung device's UI.

That said, I hope you have removed all widgets from your TouchWiz screens. Those might be drawing some resources you don't need.
