Now that you have had it a while was it worth the wait?

Certainly in the UK, iTunes is the only decent source of downloadable TV and movies of any worth.

I most often use it as a book reader which became an even better after I figured out how to remove DRM from google and amazon books I bought (which is legal in the US I might add before anyone pounces on me).

But, the availability of in-copyright works on Kindle Store means that I tend to use the Kindle Reader

my only hold up is the several iOS movies I have that will only play on iOS devices

This kind of crap irritates me to no end.

I refused to purchase digital music until it was available in DRM-free MP3 files.

I only purchase digital books if I can rip them to a DRM-free format, and even then I tend to limit my digital purchases because they contain DRM.

I will not purchase digital movies until they are available in DRM-free formats.

I don't mind for rental purposes, but for purchases, I don't want my media purchase to force me into hardware buying decisions. It's ridiculous. Worse, what if a manufacturer quits supporting the format? Are you left with a completely useless digital library?

Stupid DRM

^^^^related to this, anyone notice that movies you paid for in Google movies also show up under Paid content in Youtube. This would seem to mean they could be played on any device with access to youtube, no

That's pretty nice, given the ubiquity of YouTube... but I'd still prefer to have control over my own digital library.

Rentals or streaming services like Spotify are fine - DRM the heck out of them if you want, as long as my temporary watching experience is okay. But if I'm paying $15 for a movie - the same price as buying it in store - it sure as hell better be mine to watch anywhere and everywhere, forever.

Will test later on my N7 in airplane mode as they have also added offline viewing. So I'll see if I can view a paid movie from YouTube off line (I know I can do it through the Movies app) as well as on a Netbook. Something like this will greatly increase the utility of Google Movies / YouTube

I love my Nexus and will reach for it over my Commando or my Galaxy Tab 10.1. I'm keeping both because I want to feel like I live in Star Trek but I will upgrade my phone to the next Nexus device. Pure Jelly Bean is awesome. Just the voice recognition is worth it.

Love my N7. I had originally expected to use it mainly on weekends. But surprisingly (partly because of jb) I bring it along with me just about every day. Its like using cell phones for the first few months. After a while it just becomes a part of you. N7 is becoming that type of device. Its actually taking more of my usage away from my phone because the N7 form factor is more favorable to my eyes. Its so easy and non clumsy of a device, bringing it along is a no brainer. Unlike my other tablets where I often think "should I bring it" and 90% of the time the answer would be "oh forget it I don't want to deal with it and fumble around with a 10" tablet because then I need my backpack as well.."

One thing that I am concern about is that there were A LOT of discussion about N7 from non fan sites. There seems to be less of it recently. I hope it picks up big before that stupid half eaten fruit copies nexus.

Yes, I've sold my iPad 3. It was always too big to be properly mobile. In my eye's a tablet should be small enough to be mobile.
