NPR Program Downloads?

The NPR app allows you to stream the segments of its premier programming (All Things Considered, Morning Edition, etc) after some delay. My problem is that my mobile connectivity varies and I would like to download the audio before I leave home and avoid the connectivity issue.

Is there an app that would facilitate this?

get yourself a podcatcher instead ... either run it on your pc and sync, or run it in your mobile.

I run mediamonkey on my PC and just copy the files across to my mp3 player each morning.

The problem is that NPR doesn't do podcasts of their premier programming "All Things Considered" and "Morning Edition". They make it available live by streams from the local stations, and after a few hours as streams of either the entire program or segment by segment streams.

If you check NPR Podcast Directory you will see that it doesn't have that programming..
