Number blocking app

Hi I'm looking for an app that blocks a number but doesn't go to voicemail if you have voicemail switched on,
I don't really want to switch voicemail off,

I've downloaded apps that have advertised to do that but none have worked

Is there such an app? Or am I searching in vain?

I wouldn't mind that myself. TMobile wouldn't approve of what I'd use for a greeting. I've been told by some reps that I have the rudest phones.

The spam list was the longest. I set up a contact called spammer, and just kept adding pest's numbers to it with a silent ring. Every last name was either profanity or obscenity.

BTW - If you don't have a silent ringtone - make one. Record 1 minute of silence and save as the appropriate extension, usually MP3. AAC will work. Just put it in the right file.
