Help Number notification showing by app when notifications are turned off...?

[Notification Question]

Hello,

My Farmville 2 game on my Galaxy Note 4 is showing an orange circle in the top right corner of the app icon which, I assume, is displaying the number of notifications for that app. I have been unable to figure out how to turn this off and it is very annoying to me.

I have already turned off notifications for this app in the application manager.

I have already checked Farmville 2 in-game to see if there is a notifications setting. There is not!

If anyone has any new suggestions, please let me know. All answers will be much appreciated.

Yes, and that works for a short period of time, but when I get new notifications (which is quite often in Farmville) the numbers pop back up again
