is it true that after 30 days without paying you bill your account will be deactivated and your number will be recycled??

Save it in Google Voice if you want to keep your number.

Interesting... How does that work?

I know what google voice is and i have GV#. Does joining your cell number to GV lock it up?

I was told after 45 days you loose your number. That was years ago though, It might have changed.

Thanks

Instead of choosing a local number you use your existing cell phone number. Google contacts your current carrier and it's just like taking you number to another carrier. Your number is moved to Google Voice.

Port your number into Google Voice FAQ - Google Voice Help

it cost $20 to port... i have never read anyone talking about paying when they choose their existing number !?!

I think it has to do with contacting the original cell phone provider and making arrangements to move the phone number. I'm just guessing...

On the flip side, when I purchased my phone, I was told that numbers are out-of-use for at least 60 days before they are assigned to a new phone. Hmm. Around 11:45 pm on the night I purchased my phone and MetroPCS plan, I got the following text message: "wat up dis dominic". That was followed by numerous texts and phone calls to "Ashley" that her CVS prescription was ready for pickup, to confirm her appointment with her OB-GYN, etc. Don't know exactly what happened between Dominic and Ashley, but I have an idea. :)

Sixty days may not be quite long enough. Just sayin'.

Haha!
I remember when I first switched to metroPCS five(?) years ago... I had the same problem, but mine was a guy.
kept missing his payments at Planet Fitness,
Had his credit card declined a couple times, and got a message from his bank to "rectify the issue in the shortest delays"...
Quite a few calls from debt collection agencies... And then, they eventually died off. :)
I knew quite a lot about that guy after a while. I even knew he was of hispanic decent, lol!
Never found a way to contact him, though... Not that I really wanted to anyways...
