numbered alerts on the G2?

Been using the G2 for about 2 months now after having had an iPhone for 5 years or so. Trying to find answers to a few items, so any help is greatly appreciated!

-Want to know if I can get the numbered alerts on top of the icons? (I.e., if I have 2 voicemails, it will show a 2 on top of the voicemail icon). Currently, I DO get that alert for missed phone calls, but not for voicemails or text messages. Currently using YouMail for voicemail and GO SMS for text. More than open to using other apps if I can get this feature
-Would prefer my reminders in my calendar to actually pop up on my screen.
-That being said, the one thing I do miss from my iPhone is the alerts popping up on screen, not in the alerts bar. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks,
Dave

Notification Badges (or Unread Counts) usually require a Notification Service Provider app (e.g. Missed It! or Tesla Unread, etc.) and a 3rd party Launcher app (Nova Prime, Go Launcher, etc.) for full support of all apps.

Let us know if you are open to that, and we can provide more details.

If you are using the stock calendar, you can choose your notification type (status bar or popup). In the Calendar app, go to Settings, Reminder Settings, and then Notification Type, then select Popup Notification.

I use stock messenger and stock VM on my Sprint G2 and I have number counts for both. Check your settings in each application. There should be an option for displaying the count.
