Numbers on S-Pen?

Just curious if anyone's noticed this before or has any idea what they mean? Spotted a series of 3 numbers on my S-Pen, slightly raised (possibly printed ink?) below the tiny "China" stamp. They read 3-4-4, top to bottom. Any clue what they are? Have I just revealed some secret pin code that will allow some nefarious hacker to pair a rogue S-Pen with my Note?

It took my reading glasses, a strong magnifying glass and a strong light to make out that my pen was made in Vietnam. Some smudges past the tip side of that depression that might or might not be anything more than dirt. I haven't unpacked my 20X head magnifier yet, so that's as close as I can get.

But my camera can see better than I can. At full magnification, and with the light at the right angle, the "smudges" are 3442.

You've got 4 numbers? Oh man, I feel ripped off, I've only got 3.

China 3445 on the Note 10.1-14, China 315 on the Note 8, China 3361 on the Note 3.

Alright, some correlation here. That's 2 Note 8's (mine and Benjie's) with 3 digits, 2 Note 3's with 4 digits, and a 10 with 4 digits.

But what does it MEAN?!? #MostImportantQuestionEver

Most likely a manufacturing date code.

315 on fairly new note 8 and 341 on a replacement with chrome end from Ebay, both from China.
