Help NY Times killing my battery.

Anyone know how to get rid of this (attached). It is killing my battery. I Un - installed the NY Times app but this thing still shows up.

I suspect your'e going to need root to fix that ..

You could try re-installing the app then when it's running, Force Stop, Disable and then uninstall, see if that helps.

Reinstalling the app and turning everything off seems to stop it but as soon as I delete it I have the same issue. Looks like I'll be keeping this liberal rag on my phone after all.
