If there's anyone in NZ still having trouble upgrading from 1.6 to 2.1
through the LG updater or PC sync software I've found a link to
the Vodafone New Zealand 2.1 ROM. (20D)
It's from the Lg site so it's the real deal.
This means you can bypass ripping your hair out with the online updater
programs and just use the KDZ_FW_UPD software to flash the ROM.
As always, use at your own risk.
I'm not responsible if you brick your phone!
If you don't have it, you'll need:
MSXML 4.0 SP3 Parser.
Download it here:

KDZ_FW_UPD.exe (english version)
