Root o2 rom anywhere?

since HTC aren't providing the ICS update for the Desire HD, and my contract is up in february, will be giving phone to son.
so, i need to root again. he's on o2.
does anyone know of an o2 rom to be downloaded anywhere, please?

Are you currently rooted? How did you root? I am not sure if you will find an O2 RUU to return to stock (branded RUU's are harder to come by than unbranded ones), but I can give you a link for an up to date unbranded RUU - it would put the phone back to factory state as if it had been bought SIM free from HTC

no. not rooted. was. wasn't that happy, so managed to return to un-rooted.
when i give this to him, i will have to be. i'm on voda, he's o2.
if it's o2, i don't care mate. i would be happy as larry.

i really shouldn't be left to drink unsupervised lol....
not that there's been any harm done.
only thing is, it kept failing when trying to s-off.
otherwise, everything else worked perfectly.
will try again when i've sobered up a bit

If you are still S-Off, then you should be able to run this RUU (which would put your phone on completely unbranded firmware, as if you had bought it direct from HTC (no bloatware)

How did you root? Was it with the AAHK? If yes, then you should be all set to run the RUU I linked above... this will put you on stock unbranded

yep. forgot to toggle the flash method, which didn't help....d'oh!
have that downloaded already, thanks.
there's no mad rush to flash. i have this for another few months.
sometimes, when slightly well oiled, things just won't wait hehe
